On 21/02/2026, the Manikganj District Jubo Dal convening committee presented flowers at the Manikganj Central Shaheed Minar, located at Manikganj Government Boys’ High School. Among the leaders and activists, chief guests included Kazi Mostak Hossain Dipu, the Convener of Manikganj District Jubo Dal, as well as Tuhinur Rahman Tuhin, the Member Secretary of Manikganj District Jubo Dal.  Also present was Abdur Razzak Raja, the former Convener of Manikganj District Jubo League.

When questioned about the presence of the former Awami League politician, Tuhinur Rahman Tuhin, stated, “Even though Raja was previously affiliated with the Jubo League, he never engaged in any kind of fascist behaviour. He has experience in politics, which cannot be wasted. We want to see him in a leadership position within the Jubo Dal in the near future."

However, Abdur Razzak Raja is the prime accused in multiple criminal cases involving attacks on students during the July uprising, an arson attack on the BNP’s local office, as well as illegal property grabbing. He, along with his son and others, was previously arrested in January 2025 but was later granted bail in May 2025.  

When asked about these allegations, Kazi Mostak Hossain Dipu stated, “All these allegations are false. Raja bhai did not do any of those. He is not that kind of person. Many people used the July uprising as an excuse to file cases against countless former Awami League leaders without checking if they actually did anything wrong.”  

Kazi Mobarak Hopssain Dipu further stated that BNP and its affiliates were dedicated to building a strong ruling party for the sake of Bangladeshi citizens. He said that the Jubo Dal will accept experienced politicians and political leaders with a good moral reputation, no matter which political party they previously belonged to. He further said that the Jubo Dal will only stand beside those who are confirmed not to be part of any kind of wrongdoing. Abdur Razzak Raja stated, “My work is not yet done. By the grace of Almighty Allah, I will continue to serve my country for many more years.” He had no comment regarding the allegations against him and his son, Adnan Razzak.
